BCVPC is located at the Nanaimo Assembly Wharf, the site of a former lumber mill and export facility. In 2018 the site and berth went through extensive renovations, jointly funded by Western Stevedoring, Nanaimo Port Authority and Transport Canada, to facilitate its transition to the newest, state of the art vehicle processing centre in Canada. This funding commitment by Transport Canada demonstrates the commitment of the Federal Government of Canada to the Nanaimo facility and a recognition of the need to create additional capacity to handle vehicle imports. On March 8th, 2019, BCVPC received its first vessel and started processing its first vehicles. Since then, BCVPC has provided uninterrupted service ensuring the highest quality product is consistently delivered to the dealer network it supports and in turn the end consumer.
